In 2017, the top five states producing the most agricultural produce were Alaska (2.6 million tons), Arizona (1.8 million tons) and Wyoming (1 million tons).

The state with the most farms, California, produced 2.1 million acres, followed by Montana (1,818,000), New Mexico (1 in 5,000) and New York (1).

In 2016, Montana produced the most corn and soybeans in the United States.
